Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg: "Email is going away!"

Facebook's Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg says "email is going away."

Ms. Sandberg says only 11% of teenagers today email daily, and that the notion "I can't imagine life without email" is going away:




Huffington Post ran a survey based on this speech. It seems most folks do not agree that the email is going away anytime soon. Here's a capture of the survey results as of June 17th:

  2. I definitely do NOT think email is going away. Once those teenagers hit the working world, email will likely still be around. Granted, there will probably be new business technologies that are Facebook-like...but I doubt that will become a standard in business in the next 5-7 years. Fantastic post!
