Rowling is one of the greatest examples of persistence especially in the publishing world.  With all the success surrounding Harry Potter, one would think that publishers were flocking to originally publish the work.  They were not.  In fact, like every author she faced the same rejection over and over.  Because she never gave up, we have one of the widest read book series today spanning almost every age group.
