Social Media Summer School: Twitter & Facebook Workshops

The second workshop in Office Divvy's Social Media Summer School's 2012 Curriculum was Facebook Business Pages.  It was attended by eight facebook page admins representing a cross-section of restaurant, e-commerce, law, non-profit, and field service-industry and also included one representative from the Palm Coast SBDC.  Participants came from St. Augustine, Palm Coast, and Flagler Beach.

Total of twelve business owners and others have been trained so far in the Twitter and Facebook Workshops, all walking away with actionable learnings.

One issue that presented itself was the fact that not all pages were able to add an OFFER to their page.  According to the facebook page admin information site, the offers are still in Beta release as of July 2012, so not all pages have access to them as of yet.

What is a Facebook Page Offer?  It's a new free, feature to offer a special or discount to your community right from your facebook page. Here's a video overview of that:

Two workshops are now complete in the Social Media Summer School, with one more to go (Facebook Advertising).  We're receiving a lot of interest from folks to repeat them on a regular basis.  Because these workshops promise actionable learnings in a small-class format, seating is limited.  So, we may indeed offer more several times a year.

By the way, would you like to receive the whitepapers we have put together on Twitter and Facebook?  You can request them below, at no cost. :)
